ARRIVE Memphis is easily one of my favorite hotel stays in Memphis. The first thing that stood out to me was the design. The room had this mix of vintage, industrial, and modern details that gave it so much personality without feeling like they were trying too hard. Between the floral wallpaper, concrete floors, warm wood finishes, and little design touches throughout the room, it definitely didn’t feel like your typical hotel.
And most importantly, the room was clean. It looked clean, smelled fresh, and immediately felt comfortable when I walked in. That’s always one of the first things I notice at a hotel.
The bathroom was probably one of my favorite parts. The shower had this bold black-and-white geometric tile with black framing that made the whole space feel really unique. I also liked that the toilet had its own separate enclosed area instead of everything being completely open in one bathroom space.
Then there were all the little things I wasn’t expecting. There was a Marshall speaker in the room, a robe, a steamer, and a cute minibar stocked with drinks and snacks. I could also connect my Apple account through the Apple TV, which was a nice touch when I wanted to relax in the room instead of being stuck watching whatever happened to be on regular TV.
Even the Do Not Disturb setup was fancy. Instead of the usual little paper sign hanging from the door handle, the room had an electronic system built into the room and door setup. It’s such a small detail, but it’s exactly the kind of thing I remember because it made the room feel more thoughtfully designed.
Outside of the room, the hotel had a lounge area and bar, and the food I tried was actually good. Another detail I loved: they’re dog-friendly, and I even noticed dog treats at the front desk. It’s one of those small touches that tells you they actually thought about guests traveling with pets instead of simply saying pets are allowed.
Location-wise, I also liked that I wasn’t far from downtown Memphis, so I could still easily get to everything without feeling like I was staying right in the middle of all the downtown activity.
Overall, what made ARRIVE Memphis stand out to me wasn’t one huge extravagant feature. It was the combination of the design, cleanliness, location, and all those thoughtful little details throughout the stay. The room had personality, it smelled fresh, it was comfortable, and there were enough unexpected touches to make me actually remember it.
Would I stay again? Absolutely.
